Some of these beauties have already been removed, lit, puffed on ponderously and tossed aside by Fidel Castro, Prime Minister of Cuba. But don't worry there are quite a few left in the box!

So, how did we get our hands on such a prize lot? Well, Oliver Foot, the Chairman of ORBIS, was with the Flying Eye Hospital when it first visited Cuba, back in 1991. ORBIS crosses all political boundaries in its work around the world, so, naturally, it was arranged for the chairman to visit Castro when the Flying Eye Hospital was in Havana. The two men talked at length and Fidel showed his gratitude with these cigars, given to Oliver as a personal gift.

Now he, in turn, has kindly donated this valuable memento for you to bid on. He assures us that although the box was never full, the whole bottom row is still present, and that around ten, individually wrapped cigars share the box with Fidel's business card.

Given Castro's fame as a cigar-smoking icon, surely this is the ultimate gift for the true cigar enthusiast.
